I'll get a quote on what modifying would be. I'd just need to cover the time and materials. The spring mounts would all be the same angle and I can go off a '72 rear I have here for the shock mount locations.

Figure $200 to modify for a 67-72. That makes it a $400 rear. Still not bad. I see these go for $300-500-more. It know these weigh about 400# and I'll just guesstimate the cost at $200,which I think would be about right. If less I'll refund difference. If more I'll eat it. It's too much work to put on a pallet,take to a freight terminal,weigh,and get an exact quote. I have no way to weigh it here and I'm a good ways from any freight depots.

Can I have a day or two to think about it? I know there's nothing like this around here so far.
This would be going under my C30 flatbed. It has a 402 w/ an SM465 and a 12" clutch. I haul scrap metal loads of up to 3000#. Right now w/ the 4:10 I rarely use granny even loaded. With this setup I'm only getting 7 MPG.
I'm thinking if I'm empty by far most of the time, that when I am loaded, the granny will be needed; I can live with that. BUT....my mileage will be better as I'm empty far more often. As you can see I'm talking myself into buying this.
I've been on the board long enough to know I can trust you, your integrity, and your description. Also, I appreciate that you're going to a lot of trouble to modify it, palletize it, & trapse it to the dock, and work with me on the price.

The rear is $200,converting is $200,and shipping is $200. In my last post I quoted the conversion and shipping costs,which adds up to $400,then add $200 for the rear. You will be able to start in 2nd just fine. In my turbo diesel truck,with 285/75s vs the 245/75s it came with stock,it was kind of lame in 2nd due to turbo lag and it weighed about 8,800# most of the time. The engine was a marine diesel with no waste gate. It had 325hp,so plenty of power once the turbo spooled up and going to 4.10s really made a difference.

I sent the cab out for body work & paint. Still waiting to see how close I get to my budget before I go ahead with the purchase.
I also thought about doing the mods myself, but after thinking about it, I think your price is pretty fair.
I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have the cash. I'll let you know within a couple of days. And then you can PM me with the mailing address for USPS MO. Is that OK with you?
I think I can ship it the business where I work. It may be cheaper for you shipping to a business.
