What fan shroud fits . . .
Besides the original on a 1971 C-10/350350? How about from a car or later truck? I can make mine work, but the top rings for the screws have been butchered over the years. I'm getting ready to do the Jeep fan mod and don't want to start out with a screwed shroud if I don't have to. Thanks in advance!

Re: What fan shroud fits . . .
I'm pretty sure most shrouds are vehicle specific. You need another one for these style of trucks.

Re: What fan shroud fits . . .
I've got a 69 C-10 350/350 combo. Little known fact is that a lotta 73 and newer Chevy Van stuff will crossover to the 67-72 pickups. My fan shroud is from a 76 Chevy G-20 Van. I know certain members of this board are going to disagree VIOLENTLY that NOTHING from a Van will fit outside of maybe engines and trans. You do have to trim a little from the bottom, and drill two holes. At least I did and it fit well.
Part of how I got the idea to use Van stuff is I am the original owner of a 78 Chevy G-20 Van. I looked at the fan and shroud, and then went back and looked at my 69, then went back to the Van, then back to the 69, and then I started going "hmmmmm". Now the Vans do use a 19" fan rather than an 18" like on a 69. I just got a 19" seven blade fan from a later model Chevy and the whole think went together well. You have the advantage of using a little larger fan, and with the Texas heat, I'll take all the cooling I can get. Nice thing about using Van parts, is that most junk yards will practically give the stuff away. Think it took a little over a few hours on a Saturday to put it in. I've got some pics and I'll get around to posting them. DISCLAIMER: Nothing in this post is for sale. Nothing in this post constitutes an offer to sell, nor am I looking to buy. |

Re: What fan shroud fits . . .
Pics and how to's please? All the junkyards don't have fan shrouds on the trucks, mainly vans. I'd like to know what years work best on my 350 small block! Thanks!!
