What is it worth? Chevy Tailgate band

I have the original woodpanel tailgate band off my 70 blazer. It has a few of the letters faded and has some extra holes drilled in the bottom area. Here is a pic--
I am not trying to brake any rules by not posting a price, I want to know what it is worth so I can put a asking price on it that is fair and reasonable. So for now it isn't for sale But it will be shortly.
Thanks-
Diane

And on the other end of the spectum of condition, I gave one away about 6 months ago that had missing letters, woodgrain almost totally gone and had a few minor dents and scrapes.

The extra holes pose a challange, imo.

I haven't seen them all chrome, but I suppose someone could take off the woodgrain sticker and paint the letters black or matching the truck. Then you would have a nice aluminum one. Just my 2 cents, may not be the look you are after.

I am not sure what it is worth, but I bought one (6) months ago for $10. It is hard to tell from your pic if the one I got was bettter or worse, but it did not have the extra holes. I bought mine from a yard, so yours will probably bring more from someone that needs one. One sure way to get the market price is to go on E-bay with it as it looks like it would make a decent driver quality piece.

One way to deal with the holes is to get black tape of the right width and run the tape in the channel, wrapping the ends. If you glue the ends to the back of the panel, the tape will stay in place for a long time. You could then just use the holes that were factory. Most car parts places carry a variety of tape that is used for stripes.

Reproductions are available and go for around $150-160. I bought one about two years ago and the qualty was good. I would price yours a little under half of that because of the extra holes. Thats just me..somebody else might have a different idea.
