DM install question - cost/labor

how long does it take to install a porterbuilt front dm on a 63+ frame approx? I have a '68 and I know mechanically I'm capable of doing it myself, I just don't know if I really have the time (school/work) and am considering supplying the parts to someone to do the front install for me. I already have a lot of the basics, compressors, bags, fittings, etc from previous projects.

Re: DM install question - cost/labor

The actual x-member & related components can be swapped in a long afternoon if the drivetrain is already out of the way. The R&P notches that are used (except for the mild DM) will still need to be welded in but the rest is pretty much a direct swap (some holes need to be enlarged per the instructions).

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: DM install question - cost/labor

I would say do it your self and use the money for a good quality alignment when everything is done.
