Painfully Slow Progress!! (Rockers)

Sometimes progress just doesn't seem to happen verry fast. Especially when you have set backs. However we have been moving slowly forward. Check out our 67 Panel Project section in our website if you want to see the updates. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Wow! Well, you have done a lot of work there Wes. I am glad to say that I don't think my Blazer is in as bad a shape as that, but I haven't gotten the A frame apart yet either. One rocker box down and the other half way. A sawzall is a wonderful thing! You don't happen to have a line on any dealer installed A/C's do you? I can't afford to spend what Vintage wants for one. Thanks, and keep up the great work! Jeff.

In comparison to a lot of the other trucks I have seen around here, this one is actually not too bad. It just that it had that rust in the left door pillar area, under the dash. That was the biggest suprize. Sorry but I don't know whare a dealer installed A/C is right now, but I can keep my eyes open for you. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Hey WES I checked out the pics of your panel project, looks like its going together nicely. Some "A" pillar assemblies like I used on 72 super's cab would be perfect for your panel project. I just wonder if there is any more floating around anywhere...hmm.....Still it looks like your panel will be real sweet before long. Can't wait to see your paint plans.

Hey Donnie, don't mean to hijack WES's thread, but hope you're doing well.....

BIG ORANGE, I have decided on Cadilac White Diamond. It will have ghost blue pearl flames, with burgandy pearl highlights and gold pearl tips. Then on the sides where the windows would be if it was a suburban, I am going to have my logo with "ClassicHeartbeat" in (candy) ruby red, with the divider line, and "Pickup Parts" in Gloss Black, base coat clear coat. I also want the lettering to appear pushed into the paint and not just applied on top.
ebfabman, It probably would have been nice to have them, but by the time I figured out the rust in the pillar was as extencive as it was the repair on top had already been made. The inside portion was what was realy bad on mine for some reason, where as it looks like the outside portion was worst on the project that you are doing. I wished that you would have been around to show me how you would have made the repairs though. This is my first attempt at cutting and fitting parts. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
