What did you get done? 07/15/12 edition
I haven't worked on my 77 in months. Maybe in the Fall I will feel like getting back on it.
I rebuilt my pool pump and replaced a motor, then washed all of our drivers. What did you get done?

Re: What did you get done? 07/15/12 edition
Finished up painting a customer car. Takes priority over my own stuff so when I get a break I take advantage of it.......
Had time in between jobs so I pulled the steering box off my 79 pickup to change the leaking input shaft seal that has been bugging me for months Spent a few weeks off and on building a 12 bolt rear for my wifes camaro and finally got that installed. Finished up building both differentials for the 72 blazer with all new suspension parts and got that up the street for a front end alignment. Dabble a little time between the other cars with small jobs, and changed oil in 4 of them that I've been putting off for a while. Just didn't have the time. I have more to do but I'm tired |

Hey - I fixed the cruise on Lil Red this weekend -
I was checking the oil and doing underhood inspections on all the rides this weekend and noticed the link from the vacuum diaphram to the throttle body had pulled through the little "loop" where it attaches. I welded two small washers on either side and then put it all back together - works just like brand new! I'm always happy when what I think is going to be an electrical problem turns out to have a mechanical fix. K

Re: What did you get done? 07/15/12 edition
I pulled the exhaust manifolds from my engine as I prepare to pull the motor. I also cleaned the garage and sold a set of bucket seats. I pick up a truck box stand tonight so I can finally get it off of the jack stands and make it able to move around. I have to pull the truck out of the garage and figure where to put it since my wife is throwing a surprise birthday party for her sister in the garage this Friday. I hopeto have the engine pulled by mid August since I have so much else going on. My K5 Blazer is getting closer to getting paint on it too........ I can't wait!

Started prepping the TBI harness I have to go into my 84' C10. Ordered up a fuse block and some relays to wire up the ECM to 12v batt and 12v key power. It's only for a lowly 305, but I still like the reliability of the fuel injection, and I've got the entire setup just sitting here, so why not?

I installed a 3 inch lift on my Uncle's 06 Tacoma.
Then cut out the center of the cab floor in my 77 to make way for the trans tunnel. It was downright humid this weekend, in the AZ
