5/7 drop parts on 87 swb
Gents,
I want to drop my truck 5/7 using Western Chassis parts. Is Summit the cheapest? Is a C Notch needed? Will I be able to tow vehicles on a trailer with or without the C Notch? Let me know your thoughts. |

C notch will be needed or you will limit travel before the axel hits the frame.(its going to hit with that drop) towing will be effected greatly unless you do some type of air shock (cheap) or helper bag set up.

Re: 5/7 drop parts on 87 swb
Thanks Cole.
I will be phoning my order in to Summitt this month. I will be buying the following: All Western Chassis Parts 2.5 Drop Spindles 2.5 Drop Springs Flip Kit w/ Notch Drop Shackles 4 Drop Shocks I figure that will get me the drop that I'm after (5/7) and I can adjust the rear with the shackles to get the stance just right. Thanks, BLUE SQUARE |

Re: 5/7 drop parts on 87 swb
I can get you all of the components above in McGaughys parts for $895 which includes shipping to you in CA. Let me know if you are interested.
Either way, the parts you have listed is a good setup and think you will be happy with the result. Travis |

Re: 5/7 drop parts on 87 swb
Thank you, Pro Performance; however, I will be going with Western chassis. I'm sure McGaughys would probably work just as well, I just prefer the Western Chassis stuff over the rest. If for some reason my order doesn't work out, I will definitely keep you in mind. I appreciate the help. Thank you very much.
