Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Went to the trans shop...Trans wasn't ready. Went to Napa to have trans cooler lines made up ($106.).

Went to Manny, Mo, and Jack's for more fluids (of all kinds), a black plastic thingy that holds the fan sensor in the radiator,
an open-plenum carb gasket, some slime floor weep up stuff, and a drop light that I need to replace the one I slammed in the door ($133).

Moved the melted (my bad choice) starter wire, (re) installed the starter and flex plate.

Oh, after putting in the new freeze plugs, we put the motor back in yesterday. The trans had to be outsourced to fix more leaks than I could deal with.
Other than the trans fix in the works, it's all about re-hooking stuff now.

Speaking of hooking up, the truck's been on non-op for a couple of years. Today I got the bill for tags for 12 months. California....$212.
Went to get insurance added at State Farm. $216 for the year for no collision for now. High PL and PD coverages.

When it's painted, or even when body work progresses a little further, we'll jack the coverage up...but for now, we're self-insuring on *our side* of any loss.
I'm just glad I'm close enough to think she's ever gonna be on the road!

Here's yesterday morning:
