I read through an extensive thread on Steel Soldiers about using a Northern Tool siphon wand or shop built equivalents.

It uses a PressureWasher instead of air for sandblasting. It looks like a good alternative to suiting-up and spending hours blasting frames, axles, and wheels. Especially with CARC and other nasty paints.

They do work well.I have used one with Baking soda on stainless steel.They make several types and media's for blasting.Just make sure it's a siphon type,I have seen some Darwin Award winners run the media(black Magic) thru a pump.That's a costly rebuild.

I have used them before, they work very well, the water helps trap the dust and debris. and the water helps to keep the panels cool as well. you still have to suit up a little, but you don't need a dry blasting suit(breather, shield, etc), typical pressure washing attire lol...
the only real drawback to it is the almost instant rust that follows, so have some of your favorite rust preventative on hand to treat the metal as soon as you are done blasting.

In the second picture is my set up. It works fine , just don,t let the tip hit the ground as it will clog. Harbor fright.
