power stering on a 67

I have a 67 frame i am going to put power stering on it but to install the gear box I am going to have to cut the frame or space it out and I was wondering which way would be the best

Re: power stering on a 67

I have a early 68 which is the same frame as yours. Used a torch and heated it and made a divot with a hammer to clear the sector.
Tried using shims and didn't like the way it drove, "real twitchy".

x2.

It really doesn't take much to dimple it. Like Chop said, I didn't like the way it felt either with spacers.
