Re: Major TH350 problems

Problem solved! it turned out that the end of the rod was a little bent so the spring wasnt pushing the tapered part down. vice grips and a little wd40 did the trick! Thanks everyone for the help

Re: Major TH350 problems

Tightened mine up was shifting good by hand at the tranny. So I put the pan back on filled up the fluids and put the linkage back on. Now it seems real tight at the column and it seems like the gears are closer together. I don't know if maybey I'm missing some linkage or what

Re: Major TH350 problems

Is it clo.. or floor ****?
If the trans is shifting good at the trans I would look at the links in the clom.. or links in the floor shifter. Hope this helps.

Re: Major TH350 problems

It's a column shift and it does feel tight at the column. Also the gears seem real close. I've adjusted the linkage as good as I can get it for now. Seems like the linkage is pretty worn out. Has any one ever had theirs over shoot park? Before tightening it seemed to clean up a bit but it just doesnt feel right. I dunno I'm not knowledgeable on trannies at the moment
