4/4 Drop Question
After much consideration and debate, I've decided to do a 4/4 drop on my 87. Currently it is stock height and I have 275/60/15 on all 4 corners. My question is can I do a 4/4 drop with the 275/60/15 front and rear without any issues for now until I eventually upgrade to 20s or 22s?

Re: 4/4 Drop Question
Shouldn't be an issue. That tire is only 28 inches tall, the tires on my 22s are 28.5 inches tall and I have like a 6/8 drop.
I did a 3/3 drop on my friends truck and his tires are 32 inches tall, he has room to go down another inch at all corners.

Re: 4/4 Drop Question
Ok thanks, I appreciate your feedback. I was worried that the tired may also be too wide for the front. Which option would give me the most accurate drop because I know drop springs tend to offer more drop than advertised once they settle?
Option 1: DJM 3/4 kit (3" spindles) and Belltech 1" drop springs Option 2: McGaughys 2.5/4 kit (2.5" spindles) with McGaughys 1" drop springs Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 4/4 Drop Question
A lot is going to depend on which wheel your running. I have a 15x8 rally and the largest I'd run on it is a 255. Turning full I'm still touching the raised white letters on the back side of the tire. 3" spindle and a messaged spring.

Re: 4/4 Drop Question
I would cut your stock coils for a 1" drop. Half coil = 1inch. Its going to give you the best ride. Along with the 3" spindles.

Re: 4/4 Drop Question
thanks again, sounds like a plan. Both DJM and Belltech offer a 3/4 drop kit, is one brand better than the other? Ragardless of which kit I use, I'm definitely going with the nitro shocks

Re: 4/4 Drop Question
DJM is cheaper, as far as shocks go. Check out the beltech Street Performance shocks they are freakin awesome.

Re: 4/4 Drop Question
I've been reading up on them, what's the big advantage those have over the nitros?
