Exhaust manifold options
Is it possible to use 5.7 vortec exhaust manifolds on a carb 305 v8? Also what mods would have to be made exhaust wise?
From what vehicle and what year ram horns should I look at for direct swap on an 84 swb 305 v8 with dual straight pipes. Thanks. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Exhaust manifold options
Vortec's (96+) had the EGR feed off of the back of the driver's side manifold. Yes, they will bolt up but you'll have a big hole at the back of the d/s manifold...
If you're looking for the manifold look, (which is what I prefer as well), I would go with 88-95 c/k truck 5.0/5.7 TBI exhaust manifolds.... |

Re: Exhaust manifold options
I am interested as well. Will this manifolds flow well? I am sure long tubes would flow better but if it's less hassle that would be appealing.

Re: Exhaust manifold options
I looked at both options
These "Dorman" manifolds were nice, but pricey. I still thought these 'Patriot" headers were the better deal and still gave you plenty of ground clearance. Desert |
