a welding ?

I was wondering if welding beside another weld will affect the other weld.The pic isn,t that great but is 2 pcs of flat bar in the shape of a T,one weld on each side of the flat bar,

That will depend on the gauge of steel that your welding to. If the bottom piece pictured is of adequate thickness it shouldn't be of concern. If you are concerned you could stitch weld each side and alternate where the welds are so they are no directly across from each other.
