4400 Brake Booster
Hey Everyone,
I asked this question in the Big Bolts section of stove bolt.com and I'm still hunting down a solution to what booster is ok to use with a 49 4400 1 1/2 ton truck. I have ordered a powered drum/drum booster but Ive been told it may not be big enough, is there anyone that can help? Thanks Shane

Re: 4400 Brake Booster
I would look into a hydroboost. They were used in quite a few bigger gm and f**d trucks.

Re: 4400 Brake Booster
they replace the firewal mounted vacumm boster they use thepower steering pump for power.
The vacumme booster puts out about 1500# of pressure to the brakes and the hydroboost about 2500# with less pedle pressure. |

Re: 4400 Brake Booster
I installed an ssbc vacuum pump in my 57 truck with the 454/200r4, a thumper roller cam from com cam and the power brake system from speedway. Before it was difficult to stop, now I can slide four wheels.
