Need a bed floor patch. Newer trucks have the same pattern?

The PO told me someone cut a hole into the bed floor to install the dual tanks. The dual tanks are still in the bed of the truck and I have no intention of installing them. The PO put a piece of galvanized steel over it which looks like crap. My plan is to put in a roll on bed lining which means I need to patch this hole the right way. I wanted to know what years of trucks will have the same spacing for the ribbing in the bed. I figure I can go to a pick a part and cut a patch out and weld it in. I know LMC carries pieces for about $25 but wanted see other options.

Thanks
B

Here is a piece I am talking about. I haven't removed it yet but it is the area in front of the wheel well on the passenger side

Only '67-'72 will work correctly. The shape and spacing on the newer truck beds are different.

Ok thanks, I doubt I am going to find one of these in a local wrecking yard so LMC patch might have to suffice.

Anyone have a slice of bed they don't need?

I think I read on here that the LMC patches are patterned after the newer beds.

If you type the words "bed patch don't fit" into the GOOGLE search box at the top of this page, click on the circle in front of "67-72chevytrucks.com and click on the GOOGLE button you will find some threads on the subject. Just make sure the thread you are looking at refers to your style of truck. (Hits will include all years)
