66 Panel...

Picked this up last night. Probably paid too much for it but I felt bad for the lady who had it (she was going through alot and was about in tears when we were leaving)... and I wanted a panel sooo here we are... I showed her pics of the burbs we already had so she felt better it was going to a good home

66 Panel It had the custom trim but they filled the holes there are boxes of stuff with it so it may be in there, will find out soon enough.

Mods, small block chevy not sure on displacment as she thought it was a 6 cylinder, tilt column, power steering. Most everyhing you see missing is actually in the back.

Im pretty sure it was a one owner vehicle due to the following:

Only downfall is wife said no more projects til I at least get one on the road lol

Plans:

We are having issues with the big block in the slammed burb so we will move that to this rig and put an lt1 or ls1 into the other one. After that just drive the piss out of it til we get the other burb done then concentrate on this one. Maybe lower it a bit and fix up the bad spots in the body (there arent many) change the wheels/tires.

Re: 66 Panel...

Nice ride there. Always nice to get the original papers with also. You should drive it by her once complete and take her for a cruise...probably make her day. Seems she has some attachment to it.

Story is it was her dad's who died about 12 years ago. She had plans to finish what he had started but never had the funds. She went through a divorce and is now also having to move.

She wants pictures as I make progress on it and if she is ever in my area told her she can always stop by.

Re: 66 Panel...

Looking through the paperwork that came with it, I found the original invoice from where they purchased it from the dealer. They traded in a 56 panel towards it lol

Re: 66 Panel...

Nice panel, I see you are a panel/burb guy. Do you have pics of your 2 burbs? I'd really like to see more of them.
