Baggin a truck opionions.

i have a 82 ccsb that im considering baggin when i first bought it i was going to drive it well i have bought 2 more crews since then so im going to make this one a show truck but drive it on the weekends. So im keeping it a 8 lug for one thing. I dont like the looks of a 5 lug crew. I want some opionions on wheither i should bag it or leave it at the 5/7 drop it has. i would love to see pics of bagged crews too if you have any.

Re: Baggin a truck opionions.

yes. do it. get rid of the 8 lug also, all your wheel options are gonna suck for finding the right offset . unless you plan on narrowing the rear end and control arms.

Re: Baggin a truck opionions.

I would say bag it and enjoy the ride and adjustability! I would recommend 8-lug also, as wheel selection opens up quite a bit, but there are a few companies with custom offset 8-lugs if you definitely want to keep it. Billet Specialties is one that makes 2-piece 8-lugs, that can have custom backspaces.

You have a lot of crews! I think it would sweet if you had the 8-lug crew tow the 5-lug crew. Maybe a duramax in the 8-lug towing machine??????

i understand that there are more wheel options if i go to 5 lug, but i dont like the look of a 5 lug crew. I will probably go with these billet specialties wheels

I will also be doing a raised bed floor. i hate when people dont put a bed floor in it and i cannot stand bed covers.

Re: Baggin a truck opionions.

Yes.... good decision. That dually above is absolutely sweet looking, and would be awesome towing your other crew. I know it may be a while, but look forward to seeing some pictures once it gets going.

Those were the Billet Specialties wheels I had mind. Let me know on the wheel when you're ready, and I'll get you a good price.
