RADIATOR help...

I have a '67 CHEVY SWB truck with a '78 350 motor. Now, my radiator has a leak on the ports where the fins are (two locations). My question...is my radiator a '78 or '67? My assumption is a '78, but I want to be sure.

Also, what radiator brand and part# works best that most of you have bought new from a local automotive store for your '78 C10 350 truck. My truck is an automatic with a TH350 transmission and the AC and heater system have been taken off/deleted. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Lastly, is a 1 core or 2 core good enough for my truck? Not really sure what is the reason for the number of cores as some C10 have used a 2 core and some 1 core radiator tanks from a Chevelle. Thank you.

Gonna need pictures of the radiator in order to tell you which one you have.And I would say no less than 2 cores.

The radiator is still attached to the truck. I will attempt to use JB WELD and see if that stops the droplet leaks from the rod, where the fins lay on. There are two drop leaks when I pressure tested the radiator. If that works temporarily, I can flush the old brown dirty coolant before getting a new radiator, which is my last option. I would like to fix this one at least.

Anyways, what kind of pics did you need to help determine what radiator I have? Also, do you know of a place that sells all metal radiators? Last, is my radiator a '78 or '67 since my motor is a '78 in a '67 truck. My assumption is a '78 since the upper/lower hose is from a '78 model (NAPA).

I think a 2 core would be sufficient if you have a mild motor, but a 3-core will be a good idea. A little overkill, but better to be that than to enough. Your radiator is most likely a '67 radiator, as that is what fits the truck and the '78 will have different mounting / size.
