Pre-bent stainless fuel and brake lines
I'd like to get a pre-bent set of stainless fuel and brake lines for my truck, but I'm not having much luck.
Since it's a longhorn (133") most of the standard catalogs (Classic, LMC) don't offer anything. I contacted Inline Tube -multiple- times, asking for a quote on literally everything, but they never got back to me despite multiple "it's coming, just wait for it" responses. In searching it sounds like I might have dodged a bullet not dealing with them, but are there any alternatives? I'd prefer not to have to bend my own from raw stock, as the CNC-bent stuff looks quite nice. But who else is out there besides Inline Tube? Thanks Dave

give "the right stuff" a try. They list brake line kits for the Longhorn on their website

Right Stuff Detailing are great to deal with and if you are ever in their area(Ohio) they have some cool cars you can see if you ask (mostly first gen Camaros) ,they will also show you how they make stuff sometimes. I have dealt with them before and will again .They will also make lines by your old ones if needed.

Re: Pre-bent stainless fuel and brake lines
Bend them yourself. I bought In-line tube stainless brake lines for my truck...what a mistake! The 11 or 12 ft. brake line that runs down the passenger's side of the frame along with the brake line that runs from the driver's side to the passenger's side came folded in a 3.5 ft. long box. You ever try and straighten a brake line that has already been bent? It doesn't end up very straight.

Re: Pre-bent stainless fuel and brake lines
Good point, Randy. I wonder if I buy bulk tube and make it myself if I'll save enough to buy a tubing straightener? Unfortunately the run around $200 and I've never seen a used one.

Re: Pre-bent stainless fuel and brake lines
I bought my SS brake line kit from Inline Tube. Good fit. Didn't have to do that much tweaking to get it all to fit right. Just remember... they will all need a little tweaking to get the angles right to allow you to thread the connectors in.
I have always bent my own fuel lines... Gary

Re: Pre-bent stainless fuel and brake lines
I've always bent my own also. A pre-bent kit would be nice, I have to admit, but you learn a pretty good skill in the process if you do your own. If you can't find a longhorn kit (but looks like Livrat found one above), you could by a lwb kit and just cut/add a section to the long stretch. It'll be bent anyway since it ships in a little box, so maybe that's be the place to insert a straight line... Stailnless is a little bit more finicky to work with, splits easier. But very doable

Re: Pre-bent stainless fuel and brake lines
like randy said, a pre bent kit is worthless if its also bent to fit in a box...and i am pretty sure they are all packaged this way.

Re: Pre-bent stainless fuel and brake lines
Stainless steel tubing for brake and fuel lines is not that expensive. I bought 20' of 3/8ths fuel line for $80 and it was a straight length of tubing. I already had a flare tool and tubing cutter. The cheap little tubing benders they have at AutoZone (my not be in your area) will work but if you want a real nice job buy a good bender (Grainger has them), it will make you life much easier. Buy some mild steel brake line to practice on and don't forget to put the tubing nuts on the brake line before you make the flare...it will make you mad if you forget.

Re: Pre-bent stainless fuel and brake lines
I used an inline tube kit and had no issues with it, fit like a glove.
