20" or 22" wheels???
Hello my fellow C10ers. I'm new to these boards and I'm already loving ALL the info I'm finding. I'm at the final stages of a 66 frame off resto. It was my dad's original 66 he bought off the showroom floor. It's getting the upholstery and stereo system done right now.
My biggest question is wheels! I know the big wheels aren't real popular with the older guys ( I'm 40 so I guess I'm in the middle) but I think these trucks look great with a little bigger wheel. I'm torn between running a 22" rear and 20" front or 20"s all the way around. Can you guys (who have done it) give me some feedback and pictures? I've tried to type in everything to do with this set up in the search above but keep coming up with nothing. Thanks for any and all help! |

Pics and details (i.e. rubbing, turning, clearance, etc.) would be great!

Re: 20" or 22" wheels???
245/45R20, I was going to run 255/45s but I could't pass up the deal on the 245s. I did use some spacers to get them to the centers but no rubbing issues. Truck handles awesome with it lowered, sway bar and tires but it is a little stiff but not bad. I believe I'm about to change over to air ride since I'm getting older and am looking for more comfort than speed

my friend has bagged the rear, he is doing the front next. Its channeled so it will sit flat when laid out.
