Anybody have experience with the headers below?

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SNH-CC3/

Interested in getting these for my 87 R10. Dont really want to deal with the hassles of longtubes.

Most people I have seen have used the CC10 Mid-length headers for their lowered trucks. They work well, fit well, and look damn good.

That link is to a pair I have for sale, and here are a couple pics of them installed.

Re: Sanderson Shorty Headers

Thanks for the info. No issues with htese fitting an 87? It definitely seems like a good option that i would be interested in. How is the maintenance on these? I am really wanting to avoid the leaks and burnt wires people always associate with long tube headers. Or the need to remove or bend things to install. LOL

Nope, my 82' is the same body style. Only thing I found was I had to change the dipstick tube, but I also had a 86' Camaro motor with the dipstick on the pass side, I can't remember what side the truck motors have the dipstick on but I bought a lokar dipstick for it. I didn't have any leaks, I have had 2 header sets from Sanderson and neither of them leaked, you just have to follow their directions. I also never had to remove or bend things, like I said just replace the dipstick.

My O2 was installed in a small socket well in the exhaust about 4" downstream of the header. I don't have any pictures because I threw the exhaust out and I actually sold the TPI motor since I decided to switch to a BBC. As far as the dipstick, I got a flexible type instead of the solid tube, that is what I had to change.
