Cab Mounts/ Bolts
What is the best way to remove cab bolts this is a 83 cab and you cant see them trew the floor. i cut the floor and cant figure out how to get it out.
any suggestions?? also putting the cab on a 75 blazer frame and bought 75 cab mounts. mounts say i have to reuse stock spacer. the 83 ones look like the wrong spacers. here are some pics. what do the 73-80 spacers look like. 83 mount instructions stock mount diagram rear mount.

If its the nut thats spinning, the front nuts can be accessed by cutting an access flap into the side of the cab support. The rears I think you need to get to from up top. Mine came out so I didn't need to explore cutting for the rears. Alex. |

any pic of the style body mounts used on 73-87 still cannot understand what is going on.

Re: Cab Mounts/ Bolts
for three days prior to removing the bolts i sprayed them twice a day with PB Blaster then i would loosen a bit then tighten then unloosen a quarter turn and back.. all the way out these things were bad and i was able not to spin the nuts that way

Re: Cab Mounts/ Bolts
They should come out..I'm in the Northeast, I just put a pipe on my wrench and pulled them out..They twisted a little but they came right out with about 3 pounds of rust.
