Transmission Problem
Okay so what are some reasons a TH700R4 won't go into gear? It has fluid and I changed the pan gasket and filter. When I did that I didn't find any metal shavings or anything significantly out of the ordinary. There was a bolt in the pan I found when I cleaned it out, I found the spot where it was supposed to go and put it back in. I have not tried to move the truck since I did this because I don't have a battery to start the truck. But what do you guys think?

Re: Transmission Problem
Bad pump, fauty forward clutch, faulty forward sprag/roller clutch, misadjusted linkage, leaking manual valve, converter bolts missing, stator roller clutch not holding or improper oil level. (5qts on refill)....
How many miles do you have on it? May be time for an overhaul..... |
