smog legal headers?

Does anyone make smog legal headers for my 83 C10? I live in California and need headers with the AIR tube fittings. Ive seen used headers listed that were direct bolt on and had the threaded holes but cant find anything new. I guess full length would do but Im looking for a shorty style or preferable a direct bolt on that bolts to the factory manifold head pipes.

Re: smog legal headers?

I've got CARB-approved Hedman Headers. Might want to check them out.

Re: smog legal headers?

I used Edelbrock headers on my old 85 I had to smog in CA. They were a shorty header that had the air injection setup and carb sticker. The part number should be 6527.

Re: smog legal headers?

Not sure if I am allowed to do this, but I saw this ad on the "other" C10 forum and thought it might help you out.

Re: smog legal headers?

After taking my truck to get smogged (even with the less stringent smog law since I have a "heavy half" ton) we still need the stove pipe. That heater tube that goes from the bracket/manifold on the passenger header to the intake snorkle. So now Im worried about that as well trying to find headers. Sure I can get the smog tube headers but will the bracket for that stove pipe adapt to it?

Re: smog legal headers?

I doubt it. I never had mine hooked up and the smog guy just let it pass without.
