Wood Bed Rails Installed

I have been looking for a picture or truck with wooden bed rails to get ideas but got tired of looking..so i made me some from a scraped kids bed! it going to come in handy when i do dump runs and camping.Name:  truck1.jpg

Wow, that looks great! Your truck looks sweet, BTW. I have been thinking about doing something similar, and painting the rails flat white.

Thanks guys! It's not perfect but good inof! Iam going to put some hooks for the loads. I have not decided if I want to paint the rails???? I'm thinking of leaving them and just put some water sealer?

It took me a lot of searching to find out, but those are referred to as “sideboards”. A search on this site will turn up a couple of photos but I haven’t found anything in the 60-66 group. A Google search under “pickup truck sideboards” will provide photos and a few links.

Those look great on your truck.

so i really like this truck and i keep seeing it in random pictures but those bed rails rule!! ive been thinking of putting some on my long stepper now i know its as cool as ive been imagining!
