it will have either on headlight on top on each side with a cover panel below that, with blinkers in the bumper, or dual headlights on each side. but the blinkers will be in the bumpers, mine is an 82 but 81 were exactly the same. link in sig. or try that...

IMO, the ugliest 73-87 model is the 81 I believe, the one with the single square headlights on top and the overpowering egg crate grill...

I like the 67-68 models better than the 69-71.

Jeff, I think your talking about the 80, not 81. The 80 model was a transition year grill. It still had the rounded body lines of the 73-80 style, but they stuck a single large square headlight in the grill. It looked like the proverbial square peg in a round hole.

In 81 they changed to the square body front end like my Blazer pictured above....

Most of the 81s had the single square top headlight that is extremly fugly too. 81s had the option for dual headlights I believe, but it must have been expensive or something because I haven't seen many 81s with quads.

My 80 has the round headlights in it, is this right or has someone changed the front clip on it? I also agree that the single headlights on the 81 to 87 trucks SUCK.

No it is probably correct. You could get it either way depending on the model. "Most" trucks with the Silverado option came with the single square. "Most" other models came with the round light...
