The funny thing is the 71/72 Coil spring trucks end in a different place in the rear. They end half way across the crossmember and the strait section is 103" long. WES

My '71 Shortbed Chevy with the optional leaf spring rear has everything to connect a coil spring set up on the chassis. This includes the brake line going half-way across the cross member.

Re: Need some help from you short bed guys!!!

The drama continues!! In-line tube claims they don't have the pattern for leaf spring trucks! This is getting laughable!! When I explained that they have a part number for the leaf spring trucks, and to just send me the line from that kit, they then say they have been sending out 90" lines for that aplication too!! What a fiasco, I have just about had it! WES

Not all GMC's have leafs. This is a common misconception. I have an all original 71 GMC SWB with rear coils. I do agree that most GMC's had leafs.

On a related note, I did not know until recently that GM made 3/4 tons with coil rears. I sawone recently for the first time.

I have had problems with online tube. It had to do with the fuel pump to carb line for a 72 c10 350 with AC. I looked it up online and it had a listing for a 350 W/ AC with long water pump or SWP no AC. I figured the refer cento lwp was a misprint and ordered one for a "72 lwp w/Ac". I got the line and it was no way closet fitting. I called them and told them 72 didnt have lwp available yet. I told the rep the only difference was sb or bb, Ac or no Ac. He basically told memo didn't know what i was talking about. A few days later I looked it up again online and the website had been corrected with reference to lwp removed! I was more than miffed. I had to pay return shipping and they exchanged it.

I'll never buy anything else from them due to this.
