i have a 1976 crew cab 2wd with a 454 auto dually. Does anyone know what it would weigh empty

I don't know, but my 2WD 454 C20 Reg. Cab weighs 5660 with me in it when I went over the scales at the landfill. GVRW is supposed to be 8600, so I guess I have about 3000 lb. payload capacity, which seems to be about right to me.

id say mine should way like 7000 being crew and a dually

well my truck's gvrw is around 10000

you can find this # on the last line of the emition tag under the hood

mine was on the core support

The only reason i ask if cause im going to scrap it. i know that the motor and trans weighs like 1200lbs so if i can get a what it weighs with a motor i can just take that 1200 out

i have had it on there for around 3.5-4 weeks no calls/text at all. its not that bad of a truck needs a bedside and dually fender. hoods a little rusty to. but really a solid truck. i have it on there now as a part out. im going to let that go for about 2 weeks and if nothing sells them im going to scrap it

post it on the atlanta craigslist page too. square bodies go fast around here. just post it for sale not for parts.

i had it on charlotte atlanta and richmond and knoxville and had i think 6 calls. 4 from charlotte 1 from VA and 1 from PA

None of my business, but what is the interior like? Instruments/gauge cluster, glove box door, A/C heater control, dash pad, seat, door panels - all worth some dollars on CL/ebay. One forum member here is looking for complete A/C components.
Rear axle, drive shaft, radiator core support, bumpers, etc., all add up.
Around here $450-$500 is being offered for full size vehicles as scrap. This tells me there must be more value in parts.

All the interior is there and nice. I'm keeping the rear end for my 4x4. Can you pm that members name?
