Re: my first truck

Good looking old truck. Just keep telling your step-dad that it's paid for, cheap to insure, not made of plastic, cheap to register, parts are cheap, and that you can haul things for him! Hopefully he will warm up to it.

^yup, although looking at that one its a good thing you are learning to weld haha. Probably isn't that bad underneath but being able to weld will make it that much easier to fix. Keep us posted and congrats!!

Re: my first truck

Welcome from the Right Coast ! Looks like you have a good start there, just stay with it and she'll treat you right for a long time. As it has been mentioned, you could easily go out and buy something new, pay $500 a month for it and what you put in = depreciation. This truck, everything you put in = appreciation in value.

Buy a new truck, drive it off the lot .. loose $7k-$10k in value. that hurts! And it doesn't take too many of those to break a man.

Focus on school, make the truck what you want it to be and good luck to you man.

Re: my first truck

Welcome from sunny Las Vegas!

My first vehicle was a 72' C-10. It was in a bit better shape than yours when I got it, but yours will just be that more more special when you are finished with it.

That truck has a heart and a soul - bring her back to life!
