Can this cab be saved?

I saved what seems to be a pretty clean truck from being hauled across the scales. It is very solid with great cab corners and rocker panels, but the passenger door drops an inch when it is opened. The hinges are solid, but the post the door attaches to moves when the door is lifted.

What do you guys suggest? Fix it, or use the perfect bed and tailgate on my 69 4x4.

Re: Can this cab be saved?

You can use the bed on your truck "and" save the rest, too. They sell what it takes to mend that door pillar. Then, there's all the other parts.Whether it's put back to life or parted out, either would be smarter than scraping for chump change.

Re: Can this cab be saved?

Could use better pics but I'd say if it's solid it should be saved. If nothing else I'm sure someone else would love to have it

Re: Can this cab be saved?

without a doubt I'd say save it. I am quite curious to see what exactly is wrong with the pillar...seems quite odd, but I'm sure it'd be a relatively easy fix, and definitely worthwhile if everything else is solid as you say..

If it's made out of metal it can be fixed.

Re: Can this cab be saved?

I already saved it from the crusher. It is setting in my yard begging to get put back on the road. I bought it for the bed and tailgate as they are very nice, but it feels wrong to take apart a truck that only needs the rebuilt i6 put back in and the passenger side door post fixed.
