AC bracket ?

Have a 71c w/350. It has edelbrock 1406 with esp performer intake. I think i read somewhere that the factory ac bracket, the horseshoe, wont work with aftermarket intakes. True? Also, how does this attach? With studs. Pic would help. Thanks

I looked but couldn't find any real good pictures of what I did.
For me that stock bracket was too long and had a clearance problem with the fuel line going into my 1406. I simply bought a piece of flat stock from the hardware store, cut a slot in one end, and with a propane torch and bench vice I mimicked the factory bends. Now you can't tell the difference between it and the stock piece.
You also need to cut a bit of a circle out of the bottom of the bracket so you can get your oil cap off and on. Just like the factory.
