65 4X4 Disc Brake Conversion

Will the brake booster & master cylinder from a 99 C10 work on a '65 K10? The plan is to convert the 65 to disc brakes by swapping the axle with a 73-87 - would it be best to use the brake booster that goes with the new axle? I have a 99 booster, wondering if I should hang onto it for this project or turn it into cash??

Thanks!

Re: 65 4X4 Disc Brake Conversion

I'm not sure about a '99 booster, but the '88-'98 boosters are one of the compatable boosters for my booster brackets. The '99 booster may work also, I just have not had one to try. I would use a '73-'87 master cylinder with that conversion. You do not have to use a '73-'87 booster. There is a link to the for sale thread in my sig line \/ \/ \/

Thanks for the info captainfab! The booster is actually off of a Suburban, so it should be the same as the '88-'98 piece.
