Found the blower fan was the cause of blowing fuses. $14.99 new blower fan fixed the problem! A/C works great! The amount of air moving is amazing compared to the original stock blower motor.

Re: What did you get done 8/12/12 edition

Cleaned up around the garage, yard work, and built some fender braces/supports for the 50. Also built supports for the grill, between the fender and grill supports the squeaks are GONE!

Spent a couple hours this afternoon helping a buddy wire his VW, nice nice car!

Re: What did you get done 8/12/12 edition

Got rid of my smog pump and all the related lines and hoses/wires. Also, I removed all the nonworking A/C components...the under-hood looks much cleaner now. 2 [/B]less pulleys to turn and I bet its about 50 pounds lighter.

Went to the scrap yard today. Got some AC ducts, windshield washer lines, one GMC center cap, and a ball hitch. Installed the ducts and plan on working on the windshield washer soon.

Re: What did you get done 8/12/12 edition

Well I finally got mine running long enough to take some decent pics of it. Cranked up at the house fine, but on the way back, started idling funny like i fouled another plug or two...IDK...New valve springs, guideplates, and valve stem seals, new intake gaskets and thermostat and new water pump...had to re-adjust timing and valve lash. still may have to re-adjust carb and back down the timing some...

Re: What did you get done 8/12/12 edition

I installed front shocks and break hoses on wifes longbed. Still leans to the driver side. Also installed a battery hold down wedge. The wedge is the best up grade to the burb so far..

Nothing done to the square, but replaced the rack and pinion on my wife's Acura, changed the oil and washed it as well.

Re: What did you get done 8/12/12 edition

Worried it might snow soon so I got my Fisher plow pump mounted on the 6.2
Was able to use the bracket the A/C compressor was on, drilled a couple holes and it lines up pretty good with the pulley, just need to fab up a bracket on the back of the pump and should be good to go.
Also cleaned up some wiring under the dash and found a huge mouse nest next to the fuse box.

Chased, to no avail, an engine misfire - new plug wires, distributor cap, rotor coil and coil. Plugs looked OK, but they are next on the list for R&R.

Tore my swb chassis down to bare frame! Getting ready to put the body from my lwb onto the swb chassis. Me and a couple buddies pulled the body off, pulled the engine and tranny. Also spent half the weekend packing to move across town, would really rather have been working more on the truck =P
