Engine removal question..........
I'm about ready to pull the old engine out of my 81 shorty and I have a question........ would this work?
My C-10 is gutted inside and has not box on it. Could a guy use a floor jack under the engine, lift it off the motor mounts and then roll the chassis forward and then lower it down to remove it? I was laying in bed last night when I was thinking about it and it seems like it could work but just not sure. Any thoughts??? RIZ |

Re: Engine removal question..........
I totally agree and I'm going to use a cherry picker.......... I was just laying there wondering if it would be possible or if anybody has tried this method of hillbilly engine removal.

Re: Engine removal question..........
There is one other option. Tear it apart and remove in pieces!! A bare block can be removed carefully with extra hands!!
