Need Tailgate Torque Bar

I have an original 76 Suburban that needs a torque bar for the tailgate (very heavy without). It is a single bar design that basically runs the whole length of the bottom of the gate. I believe that it is the same from about 73 till about 83 and may also be the same as some of the blazer/jimmys that were equipped with the single rod version.
If anybody has one or knows where I can get one, I could really use the help.
