Anybody know were I can get rivets for the weatherstripping and pivot arm?

I just used the ones that came with the pop-rivet gun from AZ. Didn't need it til I changed out my vent gaskets. No problems yet, and that was 6 yrs ago.

Try Classic Parts of America. I just rebuilt both of mine last year. Got the weatherstrip, rivets and rivet set tool from them.

I just finished. Just used 1/8 pop-rivets and 3/4 rivet with a washer on the end. Turned out pretty nice considering I've never done it before.

does anyone have a "hot to" on this? I tried on driver side and got mad and just bought new GM assemblies (almost $400 ea.). I have my old windows and the seals and would like to fix them for spares.

How hard is it to change out the complete assembly? I was going to get a body shop to put new rubber on my '83, but by the time I get the parts and pay them labor I might be better off buying the whole thing.

The best way is to use dawn soap and a 1 inch putty knife to push it into the groove. Once its in the grove.. easy as cake. Oh and patience helps too.
