Scored another good 67 cab

Found this one kinda by accident, went to look at something else. Needs a little metal work but not all that much, roof is solid, will make a real nice one. Got the doors with it and they are in good shape too. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than smart. Check out the glove box GMC emblem, only seen one more like it....no SPID though.

I believe the emblem was on the custom package and may be 68 also. I haven't seen many myself. Is that the truck that was pretty complete on e-bay this winter?

Re: Scored another good 67 cab

well you can add cigarette lighter to the missing spid and deluxe air heater lol... the emblem means it was custom or super custom.... you can check inside the cab corners to see if any PO have shaved the lower trim, if they have then side trim mold eq is another option for the spid.
also it had AM radio and non power brakes.

Not sure if it was on ebay or not. I think I read somewhere that not all 67's came with a SPID, or it was shipped loose and dealer installed....anybody know about this?

Re: Scored another good 67 cab

Quite a few 67-68 gmc trucks didn't come with spids. Not all however...

Re: Scored another good 67 cab

Sorry, I'll be keeping this one. Already have had the metal work done, turned out to be a really nice piece. Using it for my slant back hauler restore.
Good luck on your search, seems like solid 67's are getting a bit scarce.

Re: Scored another good 67 cab

Hey Leroy, this is a pretty rare piece but if you REALLY need it for your build I think we can work something out.
I'm thinking of a trade.....I'll need a CST door for my Slant Back.
Interested?
