Where Can i Find some 6lug steel wheels?

guys im getting frustrated. so far i have 2, one that came with my truck as the spare and i found one on craigslist, has a couple of bends in the lip. this weekend i got lucky from stopping at a garage sale only because i saw car stuff and lucky me i found 2 dog dish caps that i put on them. but can anyone tell me where i could look for 2, more like 3 steel wheels? ive given up on finding some 18s or 20s, im just gonna go black steel 6lugs, find 2 more caps, and then lower my truck. that way its classic and original, but has the lowered stance. where can i find them? any board members near me with a couple they'd sell cheap? im stumped. here is the one with some bends ill use as the spare.

Can't go wrong with steelies. I've seen a few pop up sale here. Also check out Wheel Vintiques. I understand your frustration and am also going with steelies until I really know/save money for what I want. Good luck.

I believe the PO of my truck got these off an "80's Blazer. They are steelies. The six lug pattern fit my '69 and they cleared disc brakes up front. You might check that info to be true, and maybe you could expand your search beyond the C10's.

Re: Where Can i Find some 6lug steel wheels?

note that 71-87 Blazer or K10 wheels are correct 6 lug and, under a hubcap, are no different visually. They are actually 1/2" wider, and that's a good thing, makes 235/75/15 tires a little more safe choice (not that they are unsafe on 5.5" rims). The long term advantage to these wheels is that you can upgrade to disks at some point in the future and not have to change your wheels. Pre-71 wheels will not clear disks.

Might try these folks: http://www.originalwheels.com/chevro...ucks10rims.php
I have purchased from them multiple times (wheels/hubcaps). Shipping is $25/wheel I think though - and there is no guarantee that they will have what you need in stock, but they're continaully refurbishing stuff.

Feel your pain. I still have my steelies on, was lucky to grab them from the PO's barn when I remembered to ask about them (he had rallies on the truck). I'm glad I asked...

Re: Where Can i Find some 6lug steel wheels?

They grow on trees around here, but I can see that becoming a thing of the past. Like so many things people mindlessly discard (6cyl/3spd combos,Rockwell transfer cases, closed knuckle drum brake front ends,non-o/d transmissions, manual steering boxes,HO52s...),the ones people hang onto become sought after and...valuable. I mean, these go for $100 a set. The scrap yard charges for mounted tires/wheels around here. Even a bare wheel, what does that add to the total? Surely not $25.

I live in Jonesboro and have 2. I don't know if they even match since they came off different trucks. One was on a 68, the other was on a 70 so they should be the same. If you don't mind a little rust, they're yours for the asking.
