Re: lets hear those engines! 73-87 trucks!
I used to have a really cool walk around video of my 8.1L but after 40,000 views YouTube turned off the audio for some reason. I need to shoot a new one.
Anyhow, here are some of the exhaust playing in the snow with the slightly muffled audio of a GoPro camera. 8.1L’s, like LS engines, sound different as they are running a 1-8-7-2-6-5-4-3 firing order instead of a 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 firing order. Passing Jeeps as I take the deep part of the trail while they take the easier high route. The fan is loud as it is running a medium duty truck fan clutch. The engine mounts also failed this day causing ran to shroud interference you can hear once and a while.
