I'm in the same boat or I'd buy it. I'm actually getting rid of my '71 C/30 wrecker for that reason combined with wanting one more like this one, since it's trucks I'd be towing. I see rust peaking through, but I'd just baby it as it is for years to come rather than restore.

Its a diamond in the rough. there are some rust spot but nothing bad, I have seen much much worse up here in the Northeast. Underneith there is no rust at all, the floors are all solid. He bought it from the 2nd owner, I am told, the orginal owner sold the business and the new owners did not want the truck, so they sold it. It was suppose to have been parked inside every night of it life until last winter, last registered before this year was 1988, last inspection was 1994. I think its worth more in parts that what he is willing to accept for it. Told me it would go down the road for $2000 cash

Someone needs to give that unit a good home. Worth every bit of 2K!

Back from a year ago, here's a '69 Tow Truck with a Holmes wrecker on the rear, pretty cool, especially for $2400/obo:

Born and raised down the street from MOON. Saw this there since I could remember as a kid. Snapped some photos last time I was in town getting some shirts.
