Is it wrong for wanting to make a lifted 1st gen a show truck that has every capability of handling off road use?

Just don't put it on hugely rediculous dubs with low profile tires. Otherwise, knock yourself out.

I've seen the 4x4's done like that,,,,hillarious. I never did jump onto the rubber band tire bandwagon with any car.

That can be done. That's how I treat mine. We offroad but I'm carefull with it. I find I can get most places without issues. Most guys will take the hard way through something just to find the limits of their equipment when there is usually an easier way around Since we offroad by ourselves 99% of the time and get far from home, I don't take chances like that. I'm not really that interested in finding the limits of my equipment anyway, and we still have a great time. That's the important thing, have a good time with it.

Re: Is it wrong?.......

D@MN! I read the question wrong and voted yes. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a show quality truck that you can wheel.

I wouldn't worry about it. Alot of narrow minded people in the car hobby that wouldn't know something cool if it hit them right in the face.

Re: Is it wrong?.......

Although mine is a truck, it has a bunch of wheeing capability. It looks OK as a show pony, but the parts are installed to take a decent amount of abuse (If I felt the need).

Build it how you want it built.

Re: Is it wrong?.......

What I find is that people I run into don't tell me it's wrong,,,,they are just shocked that I'd take something that nice off road.

Most of the time they tell me not to do it. I've never heard anyone say it's wrong. Counter productive maybe....
