68 shortbed worth?

what would a good guess on price be for a 68 shortbed fleet side with a inline six and a 3 speed on the floor I think. Might be auto. Minimal rust needs two small holes in the bed floor fixed and one bed side needs a big hug. I'm thinking of getting it but I dont want the guy to try to rip me. I dont have pics but all the body lines are straight and the doors dont hang up when you open or close.

With a 6cyl, and evident rust (gotta be more rust hiding in there somewhere), unless it was chock full 'o options, I'd have a hard time shelling out over $1,000. Just my $0.02.
