The lines are a little tight, but it should be alright. The only thing I see a problem with, is your are blocking your gauge ports on the other side.

Thanks Travis. I hated not offering a response, but I am just not familiar with the AccuAir manifold.

You can't run stainless lines with that manifold. You can run copper but the fittings won't bite into the stainless.

what about using polished aluminum lines?

Re: (bag ?)check out where i may mount my air manifold

I am not saying you are incorrect DV8Customs, but did Mike do something different to make his lines work? Maybe they are aluminum vs. stainless steel, so it does bite into the softer aluminum.

Re: (bag ?)check out where i may mount my air manifold

thanks for the heads up on the SS lines.

i have been thinking about the gauge issue. accuair advertises you don't need gauges with their system. of course i'm assuming they're talking about the E-leveling system, which i'm not running. so, i've wondered how i was going to know my ride heights. i have the same controller and there are 3 set heights. i'm just going to fire it up and see what i got, add gauges if i have to. this is my first bag system to play with so i'm learning as it go.

thanks for the photo. i've spend the last 2 days trying to figure out where to mount all this stuff while predicting it will clear everything. i think i'm just going to suck it up and set the cab back on to know for sure.

Re: (bag ?)check out where i may mount my air manifold

If you don't have the E-lvel system with the height sensors, then gauges will be the only way to tell if you are at ride height. It seems you are on the right track and have some great components already.

This forum has a ton of information!

Re: (bag ?)check out where i may mount my air manifold

thanks. i think that photo just gave me the idea on where to mount it. on top of the trailing arm crossmember.

i see your an accuair dealer. i have a question. do you always have to buy the power supply kit seperately? i noticed i didn't have the compressor relay & the fused power line. i looked in their catalog and it's under accessories. odd to me. seems that should be included.

Re: (bag ?)check out where i may mount my air manifold

Yes, it is a separate item from AccuAir. I think the power supply should be included as well, but each manufacturer does it differently. The plus, is if your application varies from the normal, you are getting things in the kit that you don't want or necessarily can even use.

AccuAir is a very nice product and you will be happy. I can get you the relays and fuse holder if you do need it.... or even the AccuAir kit if you choose.

Re: (bag ?)check out where i may mount my air manifold

can you tell me what these are? the first photo i pulled from funkytechmonkeys build, what's that box (relay?) just to the right of the valve block?

the next 2 pics is a relay or solenoid that i have. on my instructions, it shows a compressor relay that looks just like funkymonkeys. but on mine it looks nothing like that. there are also numbers next to each pin. 86, 87, 85, and 30. i can barely see these same numbers on the instructions relay. mine also has a tab to be able to mount it.

is my relay the one you get for just 1 compressor? his is a 2 compressor relay?

Re: (bag ?)check out where i may mount my air manifold

The numbers correspond to the connection (or posts) on the relay. The relay in the first picture is the type AccuAir uses in there power supply kit, that can handle 70A, which is fine for 2 compressors. This is the black box to the right of the air manifold.

The one you have is a VIAIR 40A relay, which will handle 1 compressor (or two smaller compressors), and will do the same thing. It just looks different. You will be running larger compressors, so you want to use one of the VIAIR relays for each compressor.

This link might show the wiring easier.

Re: (bag ?)check out where i may mount my air manifold

thanks for your help. i'll think a little if i want to get that kit.

by the way.....to anyone else looking for mounting places, on top of the trailing arm crossmember will not work. i just set my cab back on and there's not enough clearance.
i'll post up a pic of where i mount it in this thread. once i finally get it figured out.

Re: (bag ?)check out where i may mount my air manifold

i just want to do an update on where i mounted the valves incase someone else is looking for ideas during a search.
i welded a plate at an angle to the rear cross beam. if i was using hard lines at this time, i wouldn't have put the valves at an angle. the plastic line from accuair doesn't bend easily, so i wanted them fairly straight.

Nice. I would like to see how clean you can get the finished product. When I get to it, I will be making my first attempt at something similar.

Re: (bag ?)check out where i may mount my air manifold

okay, i'll update once i get it cleaned up. the air lines will run across the gas tank like it is. there's plenty of room between the frame and bed floor. using these plastic lines limits alot on where you can mount the valves. as for my gauges, i think i'm just going to "T" off each line near the bag.

I have the VU4 manifold too. Are you saying you can run the accuair remote without the E-level setup??

i bought the switchspeed system. this is the remote that came with it, my ECU also says "switchspeed" on the back.
the E-leveling sytem will say E-leveling on the remote and ECU. i don't know if they are interchangeable. they say you can upgrage, but i don't know if that means you have to buy the ECU & remote for it.

i'm going to take a guess and say you can use the remote, because my kit came with an extra harness that plugs into the ECU & can be wired into non-accuair valves.

Re: (bag ?)check out where i may mount my air manifold

Ok, that's what I'm going to need. Where did you buy it from? Do you have a list of what you need to make your system work?? I have the manifold, dual 444's, 7 gallon tank, and lines.

Thanks
Slim

Re: (bag ?)check out where i may mount my air manifold

i bought the complete kit from american pasttimes. they're a board vendor.

everything you need is just about all in the latest photo i put up. you just about have most of it.

you need:
VU4, ECU, controller, compressor relay, main power line w/70amp fuse, & these harnesses that go from the ECU to each component......controller harness, VU4 harness, main harness w/10amp batt fuse & 3 amp comp relay fuse (main harness goes to; comp relay, ec ground, headlights, ign 12v, & tank press sensor) tank pressure sensor is optional.
the 2 square pieces mounted at an angle to the right of the ECU are the batt & relay fuses coming off the main harness.
the first photo in post #12 of this thread is the compressor relay for dual compressors......the 2nd & 3rd pics are for a single compressor.

The setup is looking good, and the new mounting location is nice.

slimneverdies.
Let me know if we can help with the AccuAir or any other air suspension components. We are an AccuAir dealer as well as a dealer for many other suspension parts.
