Finally got my lift!
A couple months ago I went with my boss to an auction at a closed down Ford dealership looking for equipment since we are moving to a larger shop. We ended up coming home with 4 lifts. One that I bought and three for work. Took me some time to get it moved from where we were storing them at work to my shop two hours away, and it took some time to get it bolted to the floor and assembled, but I have wanted one in the home garage forever! The first pic is from the Ford dealer, then on the trailer behind the '67., setting it up, then the '67 went for a ride!

That's just awesome ! Nice truck, you will have all kinds of fun with your new lift. And like me, do all the work on the family&friends rides. And have fun to boot! Have fun with your new toy. Cheers, Pat

Re: Finally got my lift!
Thanks for the compliments on the truck, unfortunately, It has had a rough life. Truck has every patch panel in the book, and when I put it together years ago I was a little younger and quite alot less knowledgeable. Rust problems and poor bodywork problems are coming back. But I did just buy a really clean 68 GMC 1/2 ton. My LS drivetrain in the 67 will be going into the '68 Jimmy and since I like 67 Chevy's so much, it will get "cloned" to be a '67 Chevy. Wife loves my current truck, she doesn't even want me to paint the "new" one in a different color scheme. So I will end up with exactly the same truck but actually put together right.

Re: Finally got my lift!
The lift is a 11 ft. 9000 lb Rotary. Came from a Ford dealer that consolidated its properties and closed a couple older ones. It is very well maintained. It was a bear to drill 16 holes in the floor, but the lifts we currently use at work are 10,000 lb Eagles that only have 10 bolts to the floor. I honestly think its under rated at 9000 lbs. Not that I intend to overload. I also picked up up the '68 Jimmy today and have a couple crappy cell phone pics.
