How to ruin your day~~~
Spent hours and hours prepping my bedsides for final and paint. PUlled out a can of EVERCOAT GLAZING FIller (bought from Eastwood a while back)and mixed as directed with the hardener then applied to the areas needing it. Took a couple of hours as I didn't want to mix too much and have hardening stuff to spred. Well the stuff didn't set up at all. Called the manufacturers number on the can and got there answer---apparently there is a one year shelf life and the can is supposed to have a date code on the bottom. NOWHERE DID THE CAN SAY ANYTHING ABOUT SHELF LIFE--NOWHERE WAS THERE A DATE CODE ON THE CAN. When I asked why they didn't have their product maked appropriately they just blew me off with telling me to get acitone and a scraper to get the gooey crap off. It took me the better part 6 hours to get the stuff off.
Now the product may be good stuff but the manufacturers support is the worst. Just be aware of things like that that can bite you in the butt when you least expect it!!!! ARG!!!!!!!!! |

I've heard that from a buddy of mine that is a body man. He said that it is good stuff, just doesn't have a very long life.
BTW I did that once on a hood. it had major hail damage. I used a product called Zchrome which is a extremely high build primer (sort of a sprayable body filler) Well, i must have mixed it wrong, as i gave it a week, and the stuff never did dry. I just trashed the whole hood and found another. Live and learn, i guess DAvid

Sent a note to Eastwood and their guy in customer relations had a canned reply---"I'm out and unavailable today, thursday Oct 16. Please see XXXXXXX for any urgent issues" so much for a "customer support department at Eastwood"!
