New Project

I picked up my new project today, and decided to join and post on here. Its a 65 Long Bed with 305 V6 and # on the tree. I have always seen this truck sitting in a field since I was a kid. Well last week the owners pulled it in the yard and put a for sale sign in it. I got it for $500 its in pretty good shape for sitting for over 20 years.

Re: New Project

thanks, Im going to strip it down to the frame and build it up replacing only what I need to. I plan on lowering it a little bit and do satin black with a white top, and depending on cash flow but a big block in it.

Re: New Project

If it has been setting for a while outside. Pull the plugs and shoot wd 40 down and try to turn it over with a breaker bar and socket. it may just have rust in the cylinder. I thought mine was locked up and all it turned out to be was the column shifter was stuck in 1st so it gave an allusion that it was locked up.
