Air bag question

I moved this question from member "UKNOWME" over to this forum. Not much goin on in the blazer and burb forum but I thought it was a good question too. And with all the experience in this forum, i hope we can get some help. So here it is:


This may be a stupid question, but I know nothing about air ride installation. I am currenty working on my 78 Blazer 2wd but have the same question on my 80 & 81 c10 2wds. Do i have to install a 3 or 4 link on the rear, or can I install brackets kind of like overload airbags and still lay down low?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Anyone know of a complete kit at an affordable price?

I have a 78 blazer that I,m just finishing up,I made my own brackets and c notch with flipped rearend with 3 leafs left in and a 1 inch spacer.It looks nice and low [ no pic yet] and the pumpkin hits the floor,BUT now the crossmembers are going to hit the driveshaft so now I have to replace them or something so I had to put in bump stops and now I,m not any further ahead until I do something with the crossmembers.I,m sure the trucks are alittle easier as I don,t think they have this style of crossmembers and floor supports like a blazer

Wow. That would be low with an extra inch space but I bet it looks great.

My goal is to make my 77 burb look great lowered but still functional as a rowing rig. I had 8 leafs includuding an overload. I removed the overloads and two more leafs and..... Holy sag batman!!! My axle sits about one inch from the factory bumpstops. I think I wanna put in a c notch, put the leafs back on and use a flip kit. The ride seems ok as it sits but I want it a limitless lower. Then I plan to add airbags if I room so I can still tow with it.

If anybody has a better idea, I'm all ears because I'm a rookie at this and although it's been fun so far, I dont wanna tear it apart a bunch more.
