My mom always had the best advice. It was just a tad late. After a fall that involved blood, she'd say....."Careful!"

Hey gringo,... I show those numbers for 73-87 only.
Not 71-72.

Re: Another Smokin' Deal

It's a bust anyway. Received my 'Moog' tie-rods today. They are Federal Mogul Chinese pieces, so still a decent deal, just not as smokin' as I thought...

FWIW- the ES409L inners will work on 71-72. The ES415R is the outer for this application, also on sale for $4.01, but labeled as a TRW part. Pretty disappointed these aren't Moog at this price...

My books show ES403L for the 71-72 inner tie rod.
I wonder what the difference is?
(length maybe?)

Re: Another Smokin' Deal

Hard to say without having them in hand. Upon further research, I see conflicting info from multiple sources. I'd say (for future reference) stick with the proven 403/415 on 71/72 and 409/409 for 73-87...

I've also been having fun trying to figure out the difference between K6131 and K6143 pitman arms and which one belongs on my truck.

I show FA694 for 67-82 p/s boxes.
Does your RedHead quick ratio box need something different?

Re: Another Smokin' Deal

Interesting. Moog has a different p/n starting in '73 (K6131 early, K6143 late). The RedHead box is designed to be a direct replacement for our trucks--unfortunately, I have a mix-match of parts with a '70 truck and '73-'87 suspension of unknown origin. My concern is that there may be a difference in the center link's hole taper for the pitman, or some other geometric issues.

The plan, since I'm going in and doing it anyway, is to replace with all new Moog parts, just need to know which one fits my app--maybe both?? Searching around, seems like people have used both with success...
