Yes, it did work. It was a little rusty, probably needs a good grease job. But went up and down fine, I never tried any weight on it though.

Everything is restorable right, just depends on how much money and time you have. LOL.
The bed was well used, top has dents in it and sides are bowed. It would take right much to reuse this bed.

I'll go with solution B. It's so simple,even a cave truck man can do it. A message board is about reading. People need to read more before posting. A standard practice when using "search" should be to observe when the thread you found was from. Search goes off everything posted here. If we deleted all old posts,what would be left to search?
I saw this thread and thought,"Does Bill still have that?". I have been to his place several times and spoken to him a good bit in the almost 8 years since he posted this and it was gone years ago.
